my mind is in sheffield

2025.12.04

I sit in a café in Rio Grande do Sul. Not to be confused with the, more bustling, Rio de Janeiro, RS is the southernmost state of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Despite it's fame for being a nazi german enclave, RS has proven itself to me as a nest of revolution. Being in the nicknamed "most diverse town in the state", probably descending from the mix of its old moniker: "the faggot exporter", which stems from the manneirisms of 1700s jerky elite youth, after a series of exchange programmes with France. Such jerky trade powered by what may be known as the most cruel slavery, which after abolition proceded to turn the town the blackest of its state.

This diversity has led my experience in Pelotas to be not of some Nazi sundown town, but of a progressive city, with bustling neon signs, a city in the molds of the DPR's East Berlin.

My attention to the pleasures provided to me in Pelotas lead me in my decision of my next destination, which brings us to the UK, one of my possible next destinations.

In the north of our Great Britain is located Sheffield. Home to the Arctic Monkeys and the big break of many indie rock bands. this does bring a sort of radical agenda to the place. i guess an alternative scene is important to me, after my history with a local alt club, galpao satolep

Pelotas is my now home. Home is cloudy. Home is humid. Home's walls cry. Home's people cry for revolution. Home has people of all colors. But back in Washington, home was many cultures, many languages. Home is hustle and bustle. For me, home is change, and after a year or so, it cant be home. Home is a loud club playing trans music. Home is God.

idk where i was going w this. ill try to update this better and more often, maybe add some pics. stay tuned to know where im going.
